You may choose to claim your unclaimed property on your own directly through the appropriate government agency at no cost. However, the claims process can be complex and time-consuming, and we offer our expertise to handle the process on your behalf.
USA Fund Finder operates on a contingency fee basis. This means there are no upfront costs or out-of-pocket expenses to you. We are compensated only upon successful recovery of your unclaimed property. Our fee is an agreed-upon percentage of the recovered funds, which will be clearly stated in your Recovery Agreement before you authorize us to proceed. If we are unsuccessful in recovering your funds, you owe us nothing.
Before we begin work on your claim, you will be required to sign a Recovery Agreement. This agreement will clearly state the nature of the unclaimed property, the services we will provide, the fee structure, and the value of the property before and after our fee is deducted. The Recovery Agreement must be signed and notarized as required by the holding agency. You have the right to review and understand all terms before signing.
To utilize our Services, you agree to provide accurate and complete information as requested, including documentation necessary to verify your identity and ownership of the unclaimed property. You agree to respond to requests for information in a timely manner, sign required documents and have them notarized as needed, and not engage another recovery service for the same property while our agreement is in effect. Failure to provide requested information may result in delays or denial of your claim.
While we make every effort to recover unclaimed property on your behalf, we cannot guarantee that every claim will be successful. Government agencies have specific requirements for proving ownership and entitlement, and claims may be denied for various reasons beyond our control. We will keep you informed of the status of your claim throughout the process.
Upon successful recovery, the government agency holding your funds will issue payment directly to you, the rightful owner. You are then responsible for paying our fee according to the terms of your Recovery Agreement. We do not receive payment directly from government agencies on your behalf.
You may terminate your Recovery Agreement at any time for any reason permitted by law. The agreement will automatically terminate once your claim has been satisfied and funds disbursed. Please note that some states have specific rules regarding the cancellation of finder agreements, and we will honor all applicable state laws. If you wish to cancel, please contact us in writing.
